Tuition Fees

Tuition installments are due the 15th of each month September/January through June.  Workshop series (Baby + Tot), camps, intensives, immersives, Pop-Ups and Birthday Parties are due at start of program.

Payments: *ALL dancers must have a debit card, credit card or ACH/Electronic Check transaction form of payment on file.
•The form of payment on file will automatically be charged/debited the total account balance on the 1st of the month.
•CASH payments will be accepted in the office prior to the 1st of the month.
•CHECKS will not be accepted.

Parent Waiver Liability Form – Health & Safety – Must be signed upon registration:
As a participant or as a parent/guardian of a participant at Yauri Dalencour Dance, I recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury and I agree to assume full risk of any injuries, including damages, death or loss which may be sustained as a result or participation in activities connected with Yauri Dalencour Dance. Patrons must sign a Parent Waiver Liability Form for Health & Safety upon registration.

Photo Release Form – Must be signed upon registration: A photo release form must be signed upon enrollment/registration.

Late Fees: A late fee of $15 will be billed by the 30th or 31st of each month for late installment payments not paid on the 15th or by the 20th.  As a courtesy, tuition is split into monthly installments – 9 for full year and 5 for 1/2 a year regardless of the month length in weeks (3, 4, or 5 weeks in a month).  For your convenience we will keep your card on file for auto pay or set up an ACH debit withdrawal. Classes can also be paid for in person. Tuition is non refundable – in emergency each case will evaluated for program withdrawal. Lessons are paused for accounts 60 days past due. Classes are paused when an outstanding balance reaches 60 days and all balances must be paid in full at for classes to resume.

Enrollment Fee: All students are assessed an enrollment fee. Enrollment fees vary based on program enrollment and are paid one time a year or season – depending on when the student begins their tutelage.

Performance Fee: All students are assessed a performance fee, unless students are enrolled in the “no performance” program. Performance fees vary based on program enrollment and are paid once a performance season – depending on when the student begins their tutelage.

Costume Fee: All students are assessed a costume fee, unless students are enrolled in the “no performance” program which is an option. Students in the “no performance” program do not need a costume but will follow appropriate class wear dress code. Costume fees vary based on program enrollment and performance load. Costume fees are due at enrollment so costumes may be ordered on time.

Class Withdrawal: Tuition is non-refundable but if you seek to withdrawal, you are responsible for all fees incurred up to that point and a withdrawal fee. You may submit a class withdrawal form which must be entered into our system/registration portal. These are available at the front desk and online for physical submission. The tuition date cannot be changed when revisiting enrollment to withdrawal or reenroll.

Absentees & Missed Classes: Please refer to our attendance policy. Given the structure of our curriculum there is not opportunity for students to make up classes for various programs to make up missed lessons. Students will not have an opportunity to retake classes in most cases but adjustments may be made for missed lessons or rehearsals such as revisiting material or going over elements of class and rehearsing for performance prep and the like.

Hair Care Fee: Hair ties, scrunchies and other hair items will be sold at the front desk. If a student is not ready for class they will be referred to purchase a Hair Care cut or footies item if need be and your account will be billed!  Students are encouraged to have their own materials, shoes and apparel but we such items are also available in out studio. 

Attendance & Conduct: Students must come to class on time and prepared. Regular attendance is imperative to the dancer’s progress.  Be respectful to teachers, parents, staff and especially your classmates. Treat each dancer with support, respect and encouragement. Teachers reserve the right to dismiss any dancer who displays unsatisfactory behavior. If a student is more than 15 minutes late, teachers reserve the right to ask a student to sit and watch class.

Class Placement: Each student is offered a placement opportunity and interview session with Yauri Dalencour regarding their dance experience and interest. Students will be leveled in classes based on age and interest as well as experience. For our three (3) junior dance companies, students are invited to sign up and will be auditioned.  

Make Up Classes: In the event of a cancelled class due to inclement weather or other emergency, or issue including but not limited to teacher absence, governmental advisory or the like, Yauri Dalencour Dance reserves the right to offer classes online to our students and community for a virtual experience. ​

Safe Space Protocols: All studio classes have an online platform system in place as an alternative to teaching in-person classes in case of emergency, health concern, need to shift and so forth. Where and when necessary all of our classes can and will move online offering our students our phenomenal content and curriculum without interruption.

Closed Circuit Viewing: We offer a closed circuit viewing experience for parents and guests to view our students/your child from the waiting area/lobby area.

Parent SupervisionWaiting Area / Lobby: All children in the lobby, on the landing, waiting area and outdoor patio area should be accompanied by an adult. We will not be responsible for watching kiddos so ensure there is parent or adult with them at all times.

Parking: Our entrance is on the parking lot side of our 216 S. King Street. we have 17 shared parking spaces with the cafe Goosecup.

Lost and Found: We have a lost and found and any item found will be placed in our lost and found bin and held until retrieved. We will update the community on final pickups before e find item new homes if not retrieved.

Studio Closings: Please look out for notifications about dance studio closings via email and/or text. Additionally for local or weather emergencies, tune into radio, local news and twitter for school closings in particular and weather updates. If school is canceled for weather, our studio space is also closed. Please reach out if you are unsure and also check our website for updates as well.

Correspondence: Our studio sends out email, communicates and shares video on BAND (please download the app) and sends monthly newsletters via email. Yauri Dalencour also offers a news paper on arts in NoVa called, NoVa House which can be obtained via subscription. Please make sure you are on our mailing list – that your email has been included in our registration portal.
